In his own words
What is the most interesting or memorable project you've been a part of?
It's hard to come up with just one. I get jazzed anytime our service and technology makes a noticeable difference.
What is one thing people don't generally know about you?
When I'm home and have the time, I enjoy doing DIY projects and riding my Harley - usually not at the same time.
Where in the world do you most want to visit?
So many places, so little time! Turkey, Bali, Maui, Tuscany, Canadian Rockies maybe I need to throw a dart at a world map and start planning my next vacation.
What's the strangest thing on your desk?
I have a Lava Lamp. Kind of retro, but I like it.
What's the best hotel amenity you've ever received?
A plate of fresh baked chocolate chip cookies and a glass of cold milk.
What is your favorite / least favorite:
Word: Aloha! / Aloha (also means goodbye)
Smell: Hawaiian Tuber Roses / Jet fuel
Sound: Waves crashing on the beach / "I'd like to be the first to welcome you to Portland." (translation - vacation's over)
What's your idea of a perfect Saturday morning?
Sleeping in and then making my wife a nice, leisurely breakfast.
What food could you not live without?
Red meat!! Medium rare T-bone, Porterhouse, bone-in Ribeye
What's your favorite drink?
The perfect Manhattan: 2 parts good bourbon, part Liquor 43, part sweet vermouth served straight up with 3 dried cherries.
Describe the perfect sandwich.A "wet" Italian sandwich: fresh baked Italian bread, an Italian sausage, shaved Italian beef, provolone, sauted onions, sweet peppers and hot peppers then dipped in au jus. It's messy, but the perfect sandwich!
In your next life you'd like to be?
An executive chef or a food critic.
